Natural resins from Somaliland
Exporting to the world
Resina introduces buyers to frankincense, myrrh and natural gums associated with Somaliland, with lot details confirmed before purchase.
About Resina
Resina is an upcoming Somaliland-focused supplier of frankincense, myrrh and natural gums. The business is being shaped around clear specifications, dependable handling and lasting working relationships.
Our planned range includes frankincense, myrrh and acacia gum. We aim to source, sort, grade, store and pack each material with its origin and batch details clearly identified.
We welcome inquiries from wholesalers, distributors and makers in fragrance, incense, cosmetics, personal care and natural products. Product use and requirements guide the specification.
Grades, appearance, packing options and availability can vary. We share confirmed information for the product and lot being discussed rather than promising the same specification for every harvest.
Product care
Careful storage, handling and packaging help preserve resin quality in transit and on arrival. Product specifications and any supporting documents can be discussed for each lot.
Keep resin sealed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. For frankincense resin, a storage range of 15–25°C is recommended.
Avoid creating dust and avoid breathing airborne resin dust when handling large quantities. Keep work areas and packaging clean to reduce contamination.
Choose durable, moisture-resistant, food-grade packaging when suitable for the intended use. Record accurate weights and close each package securely.
Product labels should identify the botanical and common name, grade, net weight, origin, batch number and best-before details where applicable.
Ask about available grade, appearance, particle size, packing format and batch details. Resina will confirm current specifications and any applicable safety, analysis or compliance documents for the lot. Product certifications and test results are not assumed; they are shared only when verified and available.

Place & provenance
Frankincense and myrrh are tied to the ecology and livelihoods of northern Somaliland. Sanaag is an important area of origin for these products.
We aim to give buyers a clear picture of each product’s origin and handling. Sourcing location and batch details are shared when confirmed, so buyers can make informed decisions.
Our commitment
Resin production depends on healthy trees and the people whose work brings each lot to market. Resina intends to consider both when choosing suppliers and setting its operating practices.
Resina intends to work with partners who pay fairly, provide decent and safe work, uphold workers’ rights, prevent child labor and deal openly with the people involved in harvesting and handling.
Follow local guidance on which trees are ready and when to collect. Take resin only after it hardens, keep cuts measured and give tapped trees time to rest.
Set expectations for safe tasks, fair pay, respect at work and safeguards against exploitation during collection, sorting and packing.
Keep communication open with suppliers and the communities connected to resin production, and learn from their knowledge of the resource.
Choose durable packaging that protects the resin; consider recyclable or reusable materials where suitable, and handle stock to prevent avoidable damage.
Document available information about origin, grade, quantity and batch, then provide buyers with the details confirmed for their inquiry.
Responsible harvesting includes selecting mature trees (approximately 15–40 years old and over 10 cm in trunk diameter), spacing collection cycles about 15–20 days apart, collecting hardened resin, and limiting the number and size of cuts to the tree’s size. Trees should rest after two years of tapping, and trees that are not producing resin should be left to recover. These are general guidelines; local partners should confirm the right season and practices for each species and collection area.
Resina will share product, origin and handling information that can be verified for the specific batch. Certifications are stated only when valid documentation is available for that batch.
